The Coolrite process is key to our success:

Innovative design

Our trademark is innovative design. Planning is key and, at Coolrite, we take the time to accurately calculate refrigeration load requirements and coldroom sizing using the latest software available to the market to ensure that we install a system that caters adequately for a store’s requirements while not providing excess capacity which will simply run up annual energy running costs.

Historically, supermarkets have been one of the most energy-intensive types of commercial buildings. At Coolrite, we are constantly striving for innovative approaches to reduce these energy costs so that a refrigeration system will return its investment within the shortest possible timeframe.

For instance, we are the first Irish company to offer variable speed drive compressors in our Racks together with advancements such as ambient and mechanical Liquid Sub-Cooling.

Furthermore, a new innovative technique, configured by Coolrite and installed in a number of leading supermarkets, provides dramatic reductions in energy costs. In essence, the Enotherm Total Heat Reclaim System harnesses the waste heat generated from the Refrigeration system and uses this to provide the store with all of its hot water requirements as well as acting as the main heating system throughout the shop. In effect, the energy required for refrigeration will also heat the store itself and the water. This results in significant reductions in energy running costs.

Self-sufficiency for supply of quality product

At Coolrite, we are self sufficient in design and specification and do not rely on off-the-shelf wholesale equipment sourced from Ireland alone. Almost all other Irish refrigeration contractors depend on two or three Irish wholesalers for design and supply of systems. In many cases, the end user is then restricted in their choice of equipment given that they may only choose from products available in Ireland from those wholesalers.

At Coolrite, we have a different approach whereby we source our equipment directly from our leading European partners. This gives us the advantage over our competitors of being able to provide the end user with the highest quality, competitive prices and latest design technology.

Coolrite have benefited from the experiences of our European partners and have acquired their main stream technology. Smeva are world renown for their ability to supply superior quality in coldrooms, cabinets and custom made counters. Kobol work with all the large supermarket groups across Europe, namely Carrefour, El Corte Inglase, Mercadona and Tesco, while Schiessl work with Rewe and Edeka, amongst others in Germany.

Fully trained professional engineers

At Coolrite, we provide the highest standard in training and apprenticeship so that we can be assured that our fully qualified engineers are the best and capable of delivering the highest standard in refrigeration installation for our customers. We retain a full time staff of installation and service engineers, rather than using sub-contractors, in order to ensure that the highest standards of installation and service are consistently maintained.

Our engineers have the following certifications:

  • FAS Standard’s based apprenticeship

  • Refrigerant Handling Certification

  • Brazier Approval Certification

  • Full training on control and monitoring equipment with regular updates

  • Coolrite have full PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and PER (Pressure Equipment Regulation) certification.
